We have just received some new information regarding Criterion’s release schedules and apart from additional, more detailed information for the special edition of Lord Of The Flies, we also have all the details for another interesting release.

On January 11, Criterion Collection will release Ingmar Bergman’s Autumn Sonata, starring Liv Ullman and Ingrid Bergman. It is stunning, and quietly beautiful story of forgiveness that has been awarded with countless acclaims, nominations and awards.

Criterion will release the film in its original 1.66:1 theatrical aspect ratio, including an audio eassy by film historian Peter Cowie, author of Ingmar Bergman: A Critical Biography. The disc will contain the film’s original Swedish language track, as well as an optional English dub, and English subtitles.

“Autumn Sonata” will carry a suggested retail price of $39.95.
