e-Realbiz has signed an exclusive agreement with SlingShot Entertainment to handle sales, marketing and distribution in North America of the company’s DVD and VHS catalog. e-Realbiz will debut the “Originally Presented in IMAX(R) Theatres” DVD titles with a reduced $24.99 retail price.

Some of the acclaimed IMAX(R) titles premiering on DVD from e-Realbiz will include “Africa: The Serengeti,” “Alaska: Spirit of the Wild,” “Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets,” “Yellowstone,” “Search for the Great White Sharks,” “Tropical Rainforest” and “Hidden Hawaii,” among others. In 2000, e-Realbiz will release DVD titles available for the first time ever, including “Wolves” (Jan. 18), “Eruption of Mount St. Helens” and “Zion Canyon” (March 7).

In addition to the “Originally Presented in IMAX(R) Theatres” titles, SlingShot has developed product lines in association with Reader’s Digest(R) (“Nature’s Great Events” series), Air & Space Smithsonian Magazine(R) (“Dreams of Flight” series) and other top-tier content owners. Additional genre titles available include cutting-edge music visuals (“News From the West — Dwight Marcus & Chamber of Poets,” “Civilization,” “Chasing Rain”), animation (“Spike & Mike’s Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation,” “Plymptoons”), arts and history (“Pope John Paul II: The Great Jubilee,” “Bolshoi Ballet ’67”) and foreign and cult classics featuring timeless films from the earliest days of cinema provided by the National Film Museum, including the “Bela Lugosi Collection,” “Roger Corman: Retrospective” and the “Orson Welles Collection.”
