More details on Columbia’s Nutcracker, Ninja and the Last Hurrah
Columbia TriStar Home Video has just sent us more information on three of their upcoming titles that we have announced some time earlier already.
The Nuttiest Nutcracker is an animated wacky take on the classic “Nutcracker Suite”, featuring the voices of Jim Belushi, Cheech Marin and Phyllis Diller. The DVD, scheduled for release on October 19, will also contain three interactive games called “Cheese Mines”, “Candy Forest” and “Christmas Kingdom”, together with a sing-along feature called “Keep The Faith”. “The Nuttiest Nutcracker” will be presented in fullscreen and contain a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, as well as a Dolby Surround track in English with English subtitles.
Another title coming on October 19 is Chris Farley’s Beverly Hills Ninja. It is the hilarious story of the well-meaning but hopelessly inept Haru who, believing himself to be the Great White Ninja, ventures to Beverly Hills to save a mysterious beauty. “Beverly Hills Ninja” will come in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen and pan & scan presentation with a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, and a Dolby Surround track in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
The last title in the list is The Last Hurrah in which two-time Academy Award-winner Spencer Tracy portrays a down-to-earth big city mayor ruthlessly thwarted by political enemies. The DVD will contain a 16×9 enhanced widescreen and pan & scan presentation with a monaural Dolby Digital soundtrack in English.
