Today Columbia TriStar Home Video announced four titles for release on DVD on August 31, putting the long awaited horror comedy Fright Night and Monty Python And The Holy Grail back on release schedules, also adding two new titles to the release schedules.

The Buddy Holly Story features Gary Busey as the archetypal rock star Buddy Holly who died tragically in a plane crash that also took the life of Richie Valenz. “The Buddy Holly Story” will feature a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version of the film and a pan & scan presentation and feature a 4.0 Dolby Digital soundtrack in English and a Dolby surround track in French, as well as subtitles in English, French and Spanish. This release will also contain a commentary track by actor Gary Busey and director Steve Rash.

Fright Night is the story of 17-year old Charley Brewster who believes his neighbor is a vampire. With the help of TV horror host Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall) he tries to rid the world of the bloodsucker. This horror comedy is also coming in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version and a pan & scan presentation, featuring English and Spanish Dolby surround soundtracks and a variety of subtitles.

In Monty Python And The Holy Grail the entire Python gang is retelling the story of King Arthur and their quest for the Holy Grail… their way. It will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a monaural Dolby Digital soundtrack with English, French and Spanish subtitles

Also on August 31, Columbia TriStar Home Video will release the 40th Anniversary Special Edition of Tingler, a classic horror film by William Castle starring the great Vincent Price as an obsessed scientist who discovers where fear grows on the human body and how to destroy it. This black & white film will also be presented in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version and contain mono soundtracks in English and Spanish, as well as a wide variety of subtitles. “Tingler” will also contain a featurette called “Scream For Your Lives” and director William Castle’s drive-in “Scream”-sequence.

All titles carry a suggested retail price of $24.95.
