Explore the Lost Horizon on August 31 with Columbia Home Video
Columbia Home Video has set Lost Horizon for release on August 31 as we had announced some time ago in our release schedules. Now Columbia has sent some more information our way which we’d like to pass on to you. Besides the original theatrical trailer, the DVD will include a commentary track about the restoration of the film by restoration experts Charles Champlin and Robert Gitt. It will also contain a photo documentary with narration by historian Kendall Miller, 3 deleted never-before-seen scenes and an alternate ending of the movie.
“Lost Horizon” Won the 1937 Academy Awards for “Best Art Direction” and “Best Film Editing” and has been nominated for “Best Picture”, “Best Supporting Actor”, “Best Assistant Director”, “Best Scoring” and “Best Sound” in 1937.
The disc will come on a dual layer disc containing the film’s widescreen presentation in a 16×9 enhanced version with an English mono soundtrack. Priced at $27.95, this disc is clearly a gem no one should miss.
