Fox Home Video and Paramount Home Video just released an announcement today that indicates that Titanic is finally coming to DVD. It obviously marks Twentieth Century Fox’s first release in the international DVD market and is scheduled for a release in September. At the same time, Paramount is planning to release the film on DVD here in the US, simultaneously with Fox’s international release. No details have been announced at this point, but we will make sure to keep you posted as new information comes in. Being a joint production by Fox and Paramount, Fox is handling the international video rights independently from Paramount, who exercise the domestic rights. While Fox indicates their international version will not contain any supplements, Paramount still leaves it open whether the disc will contain additional material or not.
