Paramount has done an excellent job on this DVD. It may surprise you – as it surprised me – that Roxbury makes an exceedingly good DVD demo disc. Featuring a broad color palette, with pastels and bright colors splashed across the screen. The picture is correctly letterboxed at 1.85:1 and shows no signs of compression. The picture is crystal clear and shows no distortion or problems with color balance.

The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack is very active throughout the film. The mix surrounds the viewer with the noises of the nightclub and the throbbing disco beat, without drowning out the dialogue. This mix of a great and colorful picture with well-balanced surround sound will help show DVD novices what all of the hype is about.

The movie joins the long line of ideas/characters from “Saturday Night Live” that have become feature films. From the scant 81 minute running time, you would be correct in summising that this film is little more than an extended sketch, but it is a surprisingly funny one. It works as a standard comedy with some hilarious scenes that spoof other films. The dialogue is fast and snappy and the bumbling characters may remind viewers of “Dumb And Dumber”, which may have something to do with an uncredited script polish by some guy named Jim Carrey.
