On the Blu-Ray release of “The Lone Ranger, ” Buena Vista Home Entertainment has also included some hidden features for fans of the film to uncover.

On the disc’s Main Menu, highlight the “Play” menu entry and then press the “Up” directional key on your remote control twice. The Lone Ranger’s badge will appear on the screen. Select it and press the “Enter” key and you will have the chance to view some visual effects footage from ILM. It is a demo reel that slow layers different effects onto the scene until you get to the final version that appears in the film.

Now go back to the Main Menu and select the “Bonus Features” menu entry. There, highlight the entry “Armie’s Western Road Trip” and then press the “Up” directional button on your remote control twice, followed by the “Right” directional button. Another Lone Ranger badge will appear on the screen, giving you access to behind-the-scenes footage of a moment in the film where Johnny Depp flips Armie Hammer over his shoulder. It is the untreated show before the wire removal and before other visual effects have been added.
