A very large tribute to Norman Lear
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is assembling a massive 19 disc set for The Norman Lear Collection which includes the complete first seasons from seven of Lear’s most famous programs including All in the Family, Sanfor & Son, Maude, Good Times, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time and Mary Hartman, Mart Hartman.
The set not only includes the complete first seasons from these series, but also show specific specials including not one, but two unaired pilots for All in the Family, the featurettes Tohse Were The Days- The Birth of “All in The Family”, The TV Revolution Begins – “All in The Family” is On the Air, Everyone Loves a Clown (Sanford & Son), And Then There’s “Maude”: Television’s First Feminist, Everything But Hemorrhoids: “Maude” Speaks to America, Ain’t We Lucky We Got “Em: “Good Times”, Movin” On Up: “The Jeffersons”, This is It – The Story of “One Day at a Time”, “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”: Inside the Funhouse Mirror and The Breakdown (on the episode “The Breakdown”), plus episodes 129 and 130.Other Lear features include an introduction to the set with lear and the featurette The Legacy of a Television Revolutionary.
The whole set arrives with a suggested retail price of $159.95 on June 9th.
