Final specs for “Guardians of the Galaxy” just came in!
As we revealed a few days ago, Buena Vista Home Entertainment has scheduled this summer’s Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy for release on Blu-Ray Disc and DVD in time for the holidays. This morning, final specs for the release came in that we wanted to send your way as well.
Brash adventurer Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan (Lee Pace), a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot (Vin Diesel), a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer (Dave Batista). But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
As announced before, “Guardians of the Galaxy” be available as a Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray + DigitalHD combo pack, as well as a single-disc Blu-Ray Disc and on DVD.
As bonus materials, the DVD version for the film will contain a Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scene, along with an Exclusive Look at “Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
The Blu-Ray versions fare a little better in terms of supplements and aside from a Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scene, and the Exclusive Look at “Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron”, this version will also feature a Gag Reel and a Commentary Track..
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” are headed your way on December 9 for $39.99 as the Blu-Ray3D/Blu-Ray combo, $32.99 as a single-disc Blu-Ray release, and $29.99 on DVD.
