Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced the release of Damages: The Complete First Season for DVD and Blu-Ray Disc this January.

“Damages” is a compelling FX network drama starring Academy Award nominee Glenn Close, Ted Danson, Rose Byrne, and Tate Donovan. It focuses on a high profile case that pits a tough DA against a wily criminal opponent. The show fetched high ratings right out of the gate and has already been renewed for two more seasons.

Both the DVD and Blu-ray versions of the series will feature exclusive bonus content including a selection of Deleted Scenes and The Shield – Final Season Tease. You will also find some Behind-the-scenes Featurettes among the bonus features on the release, such as Willful Acts: The Making of Damages and Trust No One: Insight from the Creators. An Interactive Guide about “Understanding Class Action” further adds to the value of this release, as do numerous Episode Commentaries.

Each edition, coming as a 3-disc set, will be available on January 29th with the DVD set to cost $49.95 and the Blu-ray selling for $79.95.
