I confess, I know very little about the mythology of Babylon 5 and its various spin-offs, but a quick search on the internet shows that the show ended in 1998 followed by a string of films leading up to 2002. But the crew is coming back for a new direct to DVD film. And while I’m sure B5 fans already know more about this than I, Babylon 5: The Lost Tales – Voices in the Dark is finally ready for DVD release from Warner Home Entertainment.

Although many of the original characters will not be present, this new film takes place ten years after the formation of the Interstellar Alliance. The film is shot largely on green screen.

Sad to say, it doesn’t look to be filled with extras save for a featurette entitled Straczynski Diaries. The set arrives on July 31st for $24.98.
