Friends: The Complete First Season

On Warner Home Video’s release of the “Friends: The Complete First Season” box set you can find a nice little hidden feature.

Insert the fourth disc of the set and from the Main Menu, select the “Special Features.” Now, select the “Friends of Friends” menu entry and on the next screen press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control. This will highlight the coffee cup in the upper left corner of the screen. Press “Enter” now and you will get to see the footage of a “Crew Cameo” in which the series’ executive producers Kevin Bright, Martha Kauffman and David Crane appear as casting directors in a scene. It is introduced by a title screen that goes away after a few seconds, followed by the actual footage from the show.
