Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has just announced the upcoming release for two morbidly off-the-wall comedies; the slapstick adventure Weekend at Bernie’s 2 and the Steve Martin romp Mixed Nuts.

In a continuation of the story in “Weekend at Bernie’s”, Larry and Richard are wrongly accused of Bernie’s fraud and are promptly fired. To clear their names, and to get some compensation, the two set out to track down Bernie’s hidden loot. Their plan requires Bernie, who’s dead, but not as dead as the pair thinks.

“Weekend at Bernie’s 2 is being presented in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen and contains a soundtrack in its original Dolby 2-Channel Surround. The disc is relatively sparse, but does come with an original theatrical trailer.

Funnyman Steve Martin leads an all-star cast in ”Mixed Nuts“, the comedy about a suicide hotline where the only people crazier than the clients are the ones answering the phones.

”Mixed Nuts” is presented in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen and in both Dolby Digital 5.0 and 2-Channel Dolby Surround. The DVD will contain a theatrical trailer and filmographies.

Both comedies can be yours on December 4th of this year. The suggested retail price on each is $19.95.
