ULead brings complete video editing and DVD authoring to PCs

Ulead Systems, Inc., today announced the release of Ulead VideoStudio 5.0 DVD Edition, a new version of their consumer video editor, which now includes an easy-to-use DVD authoring solution that gives users the ability to output video to VCD, SVCD and DVD formats on CD.

Using a 5-step wizard-style workflow and customizable templates, users can create VCD, SVCD and DVD titles on CD with scene menus, navigation buttons and video introductions. VideoStudio 5.0 DVD Edition also creates a Project Database to store user projects for editing or to be used at a later date. This software add-on even allows for direct burning to CD-R and CD-RW hardware. When DVD burning hardware becomes more widely available this year, support for direct burning to DVD-R/RW will be added. New and updated menu templates will be available for download off the company’s website on a regular basis.

Ulead VideoStudio 5.0 is a consumer video editor, allowing users to capture and edit DV, MPEG-1&2 or virtually any other type of video, even Windows Media Video files. Capture video using Batch Capture and Scene Detection for easy video acquisition. Edit with Storyboard and Timeline modes. Add striking titles, 3-D transitions, video filter effects, video/graphic overlays and audio music or voiceover. Share your video on tape, CD or through the Web with Internet streaming file
formats and templates.
