Yes folks, we have done it again! We are able to present you the covers for all nine Disney animated feature films exclusively for the readers of DVD Review.

Please click here or on the image to the left to take a look at the covers of all nine discs that we have been able to scoop for you. They feature mostly the same key art as the VHS releases but have a slightly different layout with a “Limited Issue” banner across the top.

These Disney animated feature films will be released in stages from October through to December and will only be available for short 60-days periods before going back on moratorium, vanishing in the Vault Disney.

Unfortunately Disney has decided to put a rather hefty price tag of $39.99 on these releases which will make it hard for the to break into the mass family market. It seems however as if this has never been Disney’s anticipation with these discs and the company seems to be targetting these releases mostlyat enthusiastic DVD owners who were previously willing to pay top dollars for Laserdisc releases.

Despite all the heated discussion surrounding these releases, due to the historic importance of some of them, and the limited availability they will quickly become highly sought after collector’s items that will well be worth their intial $40 price.

It remains to be seen at this point how the market will ultimately react to this strategy.
