As we reported earlier, Peter Bracke from the DVD File had confirmation directly from Lucasfilm that Star Wars would come to DVD this Christmas. Now, later in the day, Lucasfilm obviously retracted that comment with apologies for the mistake. Lucasfilm now says that they do not have plans to release “Star Wars” on DVD this Christmas. It almost seems as if someone from the company slipped a few words he or she wasn’t supposed to say. Well, the question now becomes whether Lucasfilm does indeed not have any plans for a “Star Wars” release anytime soon, or if the reaction is more of a cover-up to simply pull the blanket over what’s going on behind the scenes. Only time will tell.
