Finally Windows NT is now software decoded DVD enabled
Finally a software based DVD decoder that is operating under Windos NT is finding its release. InterVideo started shipping it’s software-only PC DVD decoder, WinDVD, that now also supports Microsoft’s NT4 operating system.
According to the company, “WinDVD” is the 1st software decoder to address this important market segment while various other software decoders are opeational under Windows 95 and 98 only. With the constant growth of DVD-ROM drives in PCs, coverage of the NT platform has become increasingly important – and increasingly frustrating for users – and “WinDVD” should be able to satisfy many users’ needs without an costly hardware solution.
