Columbia Home Video just announced a number of titles, slated for release on DVD on July 13.

The line-up is spearheaded by the day & date release of Central Station, a profoundly moving tale of triumph of the human spirit when an orphaned boy is befriended by a lonely and cynical woman. Containin an audio commentary by lead actress Fernanda Montenegro and the film’s producer, “Central Station” will come in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version with a Dolby Stereo soundtrack.

Also scheduled for release on July 13 is the romantic comedy Bye, Bye Birdie and The Professionals, starring Claudia Cardinale, Jack Palance, Burt Lancaster and Lee Marvin.

For all horror fans, Columbia Home Video is preparing Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, the third sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original splatterfest, starring three of the principal cast members of the original in cameo appearances.
