According to Daily Variety, Dimension Films have put Scream 3 on the fast track to get production of the film going in May. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are most likely to reprise their roles in this third installment of the popular horror series, while Kevin Williamson will return to write the film’s screenplay. What will be most interesting to fans of the series however is that Wes Craven will once again return to the director’s chair for even this third slasher sequel.

Plans at Dimension Films are to theatrically release the film on December 10, which in turn would dictate that pre-production on the movie will actually begin within the next two months.

Dimension Films are also creating a spoof to their most successful franchise with the film Scream If You Know What I Did Last Halloween, directed by “In Living Color” multitalent Keenen Ivory Wayans.
