Our friend Peter Bracke over at the DVD File
has just received a letter from Lucasfilm. Peter tried to get in touch with
Lucasfilm to find out if there were any plans to release the Star Wars
Trilogy on DVD anytime soon. Well, after a long time of waiting they
obviously replied to his enquiry, telling him that a release of the
Trilogy on DVD is “not planned” a this point in time. Well, as Peter suggests, we
probably have to just wait patiently until one day a surprise announcement from
Fox and Lucasfilm will tell us about an impending release of the films.
