More DVD promotions ahead – Sears and Musicland team up
Especially for the holidays, a number of retailers and DVD publishers are teaming up to promote the new technology, and we just got news that Sears and the Musicland Corporation have also decided to continue their DVD cross-promotions.
The partnership teams up Suncoast Motion Picture Company and Sam Goody stores with Sears,
Roebuck and Co. to present DVD in more than 2,000 stores nationwide.
The program has expanded from last year and now also includes Columbia Home Video and
DVD hardware manufacturers Pioneer, Toshiba, Sony and Panasonic.
What’s in it for you? If you purchase a DVD player at any Sears department store, you
are entitled to a free DVD movie of their choice (from Columbia TriStar or
Warner Home Video, a $29.99 value) from Suncoast or Sam Goody stores. Once
you receive their free DVD movie, Suncoast and Sam Goody stores will also give you
a $75 DVD savings book. In addition, you will also receive special sale pricing on their next 16 DVD movies.
With promotions all over the place these days, one thing is clear. The time to join DVD is now!
