Many of our readers have reported problems with Criterion’s release of “Robocop”. It turns out that Panasonic players have an issue with the layer change on the disc, which results in audio drop-outs and even worse, completely garbled and pixelated images right after the RSDL layer change in chapter 14.
Although not all Panasonic players seem to exhibit this problem, you might want to be careful when you buy this title and make sure you can return the disc if you should run into these problems.
