This release from Warner Home Video contains the film’s original 2.35:1 widescreen version, as well as a full screen transfer of the film. The fullscreen transfer has been done very carefully, mixing open matte shots with pan & scan treatment, resulting in an experience that does not deviate too much from the original widescreen presentation.The image quality is good with lots of detail and strong colors throughout. Fleshtones are very naturally rendered and the coverall color balance is very good with solid, black shadows and pleasant highlights.
'Out For Justice' contains a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital soundtrack that is well produced and has been nicely transferred to this DVD. It has a good overall transparency with a nice spatial integration and makes good use of the split surrounds. Although dialogues are occasionally drowned out by the background noise and the music on this release, it always remains understandable.
For fans of the Steven Seagal school of action movies, this release is a jaw-dropper. With his Aikido skills he gives the film a good pace and some good action. |
