Writer and Director John Waters retains his taste for the odd, masked beneath a bright panorama of his hometown of Baltimore.
'Pecker' transfer is the typically fantastic print that many consumers have come to expect from New Line Home Video. The clarity of the picture is perfect without a single sign of compression artifacts, grain, and color bleeding. In fact this film is so colorful that DVD is the best way to view it in the home because the vibrant colors some of the characters wear add so much beauty to this comedy. The film is presented in a 1:85:1 widescreen presentation that is enhanced for 16x9 televisions.
The film's interactive menus include a chapter selection that illustrate different black and white snap shots from 'Pecker' and a ten minute video interview photographer Chuck Shacochis, who provided the photographic talent behind the title character's pictures. In addition to the cast & crew biographies and filmographies, a feature length audio commentary with John Waters is also included with the film's Dolby Digital and Surround Soundtracks. |
