Good Times Entertainment now uses DVDStation-MX for DVD authoring
Good Times Entertainment has selected and installed DVDStation-MX, the award-winning, turnkey professional DVD authoring system from Spruce Technologies. The company is using the system to author DVD titles from major studios, as well as its own catalog of budget video titles, for distribution to leading retailers such as WalMart, K-Mart and others.
Good Times first began offering DVD services to mainstream studios in 1998, however the cost of early authoring and encoding systems was prohibitive so Good Times outsourced its premastering to other facilities. The recent DVDStation-MX installation came after Good Times became increasingly interested in converting its own catalog of video titles to DVD. The company was also looking to reduce its considerable outsourcing expenses.
Good Times selected a turnkey Spruce DVDStation-MX(TM) — a complete DVD encoding and authoring solution that integrates Spruce’s flagship, award-winning DVDMaestro(TM) authoring system with Spruce’s industry-leading MPX-3000 hardware encoder in a high-performance Windows NT computer. Good Times has realized substantial productivity gains by taking advantage of DVDMaestro’s support for fully distributed DVD production. Every major function of DVD authoring can be assigned to an individual workstation, or rotated in a networked workgroup, separating encoding, authoring, menu design, review, subtitling, premastering and verification in any combination as needed to suit a particular operation or even a specific project.
