Paramount unveils The Firm, American Gigolo and Romeo & Juliet

Paramount Home Video is currently preparing the release of three more, highly anticipated releases that will get DVD fans excited.

On May 23 we will see the gripping 1993 blockbuster The Firm, starring Tom Cruise. Like other films based on John Grisham’s best-selling novels, the movie is an exposé of the darker side of corporate America. The disc will feature a 16×9 enhanced widescreen presentation of the movie and two theatrical trailers and also contains audio tracks in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and French tracks in Dolby Surround.

The next film in the line is American Gigolo, the stylish 1980 thriller that became the break-through film for actor Richard Gere. The transfer will also be 16×9 enhanced and come with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and a French Mono audio track. “American Gigolo” will contain the movie’s trailer.

Also in preparation for a release on May 23 is Romeo And Juliet, Franco Zeffirelli’s romantic masterpiece from 1968 with Olivia Hussey, that inspired a generation with its innovative use of teenage actors in the lead romantic roles. Presented in a 16×9 enhanced widescreen version with an English Dolby Digital audio track, the disc will also contain the movie’s original theatrical trailer.

All three films will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99 and contain closed-captions when they will be released on May 23.
