The Last House On The Left remake appears in August
Universal Home Entertainment is bringing the 2009 remake of the horror cult classic Last House On The Left to DVD and Blu-Ray Disc this August.
Renowned horror director Wes Craven returns to the scene of the most notorious thrillers of all time in this darkly disturbing reimagining of The Last House on the Left. After kidnapping and ruthlessly assaulting two teen girls, a sadistic killer and his gang unknowingly find shelter from a storm at the home of one of the victim’s parents– two ordinary people who will go to increasingly gruesome extremes to get revenge.
The film will be released in a number of variations. First up is a single-disc DVD version offering up the Unrated Cut of the film in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio but without any bonus materials for $29.98.
Then there will be the original Theatrical Cut of the film also on a single-disc DVD in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio for $29.98. As extras the disc will include Deleted Scenes and the Featurette ”A Look Inside”.
Next up is a single-disc Blu-Ray Disc version of the Unrated Cut, presented in 1080p high definition with a DTS 5.1 HD Master Audio track but devoid of any extras, with a $39.98 sticker price.
And last, but not least, there will be a 2-disc Blu-Ray Disc version, featuring both the Theatrical Cut and the Unrated Cut of the film. It will be presented in 1080p high definition with DTS 5.1 HD MAster Audio and will also include the Deleted Scenes and ”A Look Inside” Featurette for mthe DVD version. In addition, this version will come with D-Box support and BD Live features. A Digital Copy is included on the second disc of the release. The set will carry a $39.99 price tag also.
August 18 will be the day of revenge, so make sure to mark your calendars.
