Warner applies a little Heat
Craig Cackowski once said the scene between De Niro and Pacino is a scene everyone waited twenty years and two hours to see. Now ten years after its release Warner Home Entertainment is finally preparing a special edition of the Michael Mann drama Heat for release early next year.
Neil McCauley is an expert thief who has assembled a top-notch team of criminals whose latest string of heists has even impressed detective Vincent Hanna. As Hanna becomes obsessed with bringing McCauley down and McCauley’s crew prepares for the score of a lifetime, the two find that they are facing the toughest challenges of their careers, on opposite sides of the law.
The first disc of the set contains the film in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 with an audio commentary from Mann and three trailers. The second disc contains the featurettes Return to the Scene of the Crime, Pacino and De Niro: The Conversation, The Making of Heat: True Crime, The Making of Heat: Crime Stories and The Making of Heat: Into the Fire along with 11 deleted scenes.
Make an appointment for February 22nd, the disc arrives with a suggested retail price of $26.99.
