HD DVD wars begin

After years of planning and format bickering, HD DVD is coming next year.
HD DVD, developed by Toshiba Corp., NEC and Sanyo will be released by Universal Studios, New Line next holiday season while Paramount will begin releasing the discs on 2006. Warner and New Line are also planning releases.
