Unlike their stone age counterparts, the futuristic family The Jestsons only originally lasted one season. Now all the episodes from the 1962-63 year are coming to DVD from Warner Brothers Home Entertainment.

The catchy tune of The Jetsons ideally captures the lighthearted essence of the show, a 21st Century futuristic counterpoint to The Flintstones that reflected the space-age optimism of the times. The Jetsons were the very first family, animated or not, to have a big-screen home entertainment system decades before it became a reality! They lived in the ultra-convenient world of tomorrow with flying cars, floating cities and androids, all commonplace scenery of today’s most popular sci-fi blockbusters.

All twenty-four episodes will be included. Specials include audio commentaries on the episodes Rosey the Robot and A Date with Jet Screamer, the featurettes The Jetsons: The Family of the Future, Space Age Gadgets and Rosey the Robotic Maid plus character bios.

Arriving on May 11th, the 4 disc set will carry a $64.92 suggested retail price.
