Buena Vista releases Shanghai Knights

The physical wisecracking of Jackie Chan and the oral kung-fu of Owen Wilson make a perfect pair in the nineteenth century farce Shanghai Knights. The sequel will be coming to DVD this July from Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

Chon Wang is content in his role as a small town Carson City Sheriff until new arrives from China that his father, keeper of the Emperor’s Royal Seal, has been assassinated. Wang must travel to London to find the assassin and return the seal to China. But to do so, means re-teaming up with Roy O’Bannon.

Anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio are on board for the disc as are two audio commentaries, the first with director David Dobkin and the second with screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, deleted scenes, the featurettes “Fight Manual” and “Action Overload” and theatrical trailers.

The action gets going on July 22nd. Pick up a copy for $22.95.
