Artisan Home Entertainment is preparing five new collections of classic films created by and starring some of Hollywood’s finest. Some of the films contained in the collections have been released before, and some are new to DVD. The Cary Grant Collection, The John Wayne Collection, The Hallmark Home Entertainment Classic DVD Collection: Volumes I and II and The Steven King Horror Collection will make a fine way to start libraries of your favorite films.

The Cary Grant DVD Collection:

Artisan Home Entertainment returns to the classics with these titles starring America’s Prince – Cary Grant. From the Republic Pictures library, this first-time DVD box set features Operation Petticoat, The Grass is Greener, Indiscreet, Father Goose, and That Touch of Mink.

The John Wayne DVD Collection:

This collection features five of “The Duke’s” most popular and critically acclaimed motion pictures from the historic Republic Pictures library. The Sands of Iwo Jima, Rio Grande, Flying Tigers, The Fighting Kentuckian and In Old California come in this new set. “The Sands of Iwo Jima” and “Rio Grande” will each come in both black and white and colorized. Each of these two discs will contain a featurette hosted by film historian Leonard Maltin.

Hallmark Home Entertainment Classic DVD Collection: Volume I DVD:

Hallmark Entertainment and Family Home Entertainment celebrate action, tragedy and triumph as some of the all-time greatest epic tales come to life on DVD. This special 5-volume set includes Alice in Wonderland, Cleopatra, Gulliver’s Travels, Merlin, and Noah’s Ark.

Hallmark Home Entertainment Classic DVD Collection: Volume II DVD:

Hallmark Entertainment and Family Home Entertainment continue the adventure in this second wave of great family titles. Featured titles are Arabian Nights, Moby Dick, The Lost Empire, Jason and the Argonauts, and The Odyssey.

Stephen King Horror DVD Collection:

Artisan Home Entertainment unleashes your biggest fears with this collection from the Master of Thrills, Stephen King. Titles include: Steven King’s The Langoliers, Cujo, Steven King’s The Stand, Steven King’s Thinner and Steven King’s Golden Years. These popular titles feature performances from some of Hollywood’s favorite actors including Joe Mantegna, Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, Dee Wallace-Stone, Felicity Huffman, David Morse and Patricia Wettig.

Each coming on January 15th, these sets will have a retail price of $49.98 each with the exception of the Steven King set which will come at $59.98.
