Wild cult-hit Bad Taste comes to DVD

Anchor Bay Entertainment has announced that they’ve acquired the rights to Peter Jackson’s debut feature, Bad Taste.

This oft-requested cult-movie is the outrageous saga of a New Zealand town slaughtered by a sick group of extraterrestrial fast-food workers. Peter Jackson is the edgy New Zealand director known for such movies as the amazingly over-the-top gore-fest Brain Dead (U.S.: Dead Alive), and the brilliant Heavenly Creatures.

Anchor Bay promises numerous special edition features for this disc and they say it will include the A Good Taste For Bad Taste mini-documentary seen in New Zealand.

The disc is scheduled for release some time in late 2001.

We’ll give you all the details as soon as we get them.
