Lionsgate Home Entertainment has added quite a number of hidden features to their release of the Academy Award winner “Precious.”

Insert the DVD in your player and from the Main Menu, go to the “Set Up” menu.  There, highlight the “Main Menu” option and press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control.  A butterfly will appear and if you press “Enter” now, you will get to see a short message from Paula Patton.

Next, go to the “Special Features” menu.  Highlight the “Audio Commentary” option on the first screen, then press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control to bring up another butterfly.  Press the “Enter” key to see a short message from Gabourey Sidibe.

While still on the “Special Feature” menu, go to the second screen and highlight the “Deleted Scene” menu entry. Press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control to highlight a butterfly, then press “Enter” to see a short message from the director Lee Daniels.

While still on the second screen of the “Special Features” menu, go to the “Theatrical Trailer” option.  Press the “Left” arrow on your remote control and yet again, a butterfly will appear to give you access to see a different message from Paula Patton.

From the second screen of the “Special Features” menu, go to the “Reflections On Precious” submenu.  From the “Lee Daniels” option, press the “Right” arrow on your remote control.  A butterfly will appear.  Press “Enter” to see another short message from Gabourey Sidibe.

While still on the “Reflections On Precious” menu, highlight the “Special Features” menu entry and press the “Left” arrow on your remote control.  Another butterfly will appear that will give you access to another short message from director Lee Daniels.
