The low budget sleeper hit of the summer was District 9. The film is arriving on DVD and Blu-ray from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The film comes on two discs containing the film as well as BD-Live features (on Blu-ray), commentary, a map, the featurettes Koobus Big Gun, The Alien Agenda, Metamorphosis, Innovation, Conception and Design and Alien Generation.

The release misses Christmas shopping, but will arrive on December 29th.
