As announced yesterday, the upcoming Star Trek: The Original Series box set announced the included episode of Deep Space Nine would be in high definition as well, raising a fair amount of skepticism from those aware of the Herculean task of creating masters for the ’90s show. The good folks over at The Digital Bits have been able to confirm that indeed, this will not be a full HD transfer, but a simple HD upconvert from a 480p source.
