Heroes has been a mixed blessing, both on television and on Blu-ray. The third season is coming to DVD and Blu-ray from Universal Home Entertainment later this year.

To clarify, the third season will include Volume 3: Villains and Volume 4: Fugitivess.
The series on disc has a history of vastly uneven video quality, but hopefully the third season will do well on Blu-ray with a 1.78:1 1080p video transfer, supplemented by a DTS-HD Master Audio track.

The Blu-Ray version also include U-Control, Deleted Scenes, Heroes Connections, a sneak peek at season 4 (over BD-Live), the Featurettes The Super Powers of Heroes, Completing the Scene, Altertnate Stories, The Prop Box, Genetics of a Scene, The Writers’ Forum and Building Coyote Sands as well as a Pineherst Commercial. Most of the non BD-Live features will appear on the DVD as well.

The dsics arrive on September 1st in time for the TV premiere of the next season.
