Warner has been pretty good about releasing thei superhero fare including the many variations of the Super Friends from the “70s and ”80s. Now a surprise is in store for fans of the show as Warner is releasing Super Friends: The Lost Episodes.

In 1983-1984, due to reasons more complex than anyone cares, several episodes of Super Friends were created that never aired on Saturday morning. Most of these episodes eventually showed up on television in syndication here or there, but they have never been seen by many fans. Now, twenty-four rarely seen episodes will come together for the first time. There will be no special features to speak of, but the DVD will carry two PDF comic books for those with DVD-ROM drives.

The two-disc set arrives August 11th.
