Sony makes Blu-ray and PS3 cheaper
Sony will be revamping the Playstation 3 for the holidays with a new marketing campain that may boost Blu-ray sales.
It’s no secret that the PS3 is a big chunk of Blu-ray players on the market. The 40Gb version of the unit, currently available in Europe will be coming to the states later in the year for $400, which makes a pretty affordable Blu-ray player.
The catch, this new unit will have less USB ports and fancy trim, and will not be backwards compatible with PS2 or PS1 games.
