DC Comics and Warner Home Entertainment are working together to bring Superman to his greatest comic battle in Superman Doomsday on DVD.

Superman Doomsday is inspired by the best-selling graphic novel of all time, DC Comics’ The Death of Superman. When the intergalactic serial killer Doomsday is unearthed, Superman meets the creature head on in the battle to end all battles. Going punch for punch, Superman finally ends the threat of Doomsday as he throws one last punch and collapses forever – making the ultimate sacrifice to save Metropolis and all those he once loved.

The DVD will arrive with over 70 minutes of extras including the featurettes The Clash of the Juggernauts and The Artiss Playground along with a sneak peak at then next DV original movie Justice League: New Frontier and a set top game. The DVD is presented in widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1.

The disc is a way off, coming on September 18th, and reated PG-13. The DVD will be priced at $19.98.
