Hart Sharp Video has announced the first season of Banacek coming to DVD this spring. Never heard of it, neither have most people. But Hart Sharp is hopng to change that along with some other things thanks to its new deal with TV Guide.
Hart Sharp will begin bringing lesser known television shows to DVD so they aren’t lost to the ages. Banacek comes fist. he first release, Banacek eatures the late George Peppard as wealthy Boston private eye Thomas Banacek. Special features in the double-DVD set iinclude a photo gallery from the 1972 series, a TV Guide crossword puzzle and access to a “Banacek” microsite at TVGuide.com.

Hopefully more things will come from Hart. The Banacek set arrives May 15th for $29.95.
