After a not-too-shocking Oscar win for Helen Mirren, Miramax Home Entertainment will release The Queen on DVD in April.

The Queen is an intimate behind the scenes glimpse at the interaction between HM Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Tony Blair during their struggle, following the death of Diana, to reach a compromise between what was a private tragedy for the Royal family and the public’s demand for an overt display of mourning.

In addition to the film, the DVD will contain the featurette, Making of The Queen and an Audio Commentary.

For $29.99, the Queen can hang out in your living room on April 24th.
