The original Star Trek has been getting high definition buzz lately thanks to the newly remastered editions beginning to air in syndication and being released in high definition on XBox Live. CBS Corp. has formed a new DVD unit for licencing television series to high definition formats. Up first is Star Trek on HD-DVD/DVD combo discs in the fourth quarter of 2007. CBS’s press did not specify a Blu-Ray release of the series, but indicated it may come in the future.
