If you are feverishly waiting for DVD Audio to finally take off, news just arrived that 5.1 Entertainment Group has announced two lines of DVD Audio releases. This announcement does not refer to music titles on DVD Video but full blown DVD audio titles that take advantage of the upcoming new audio format.

One of these lines will be a product line focussed on Jazz and Classical music whereas the second line will consist of releases by contemporary and popular artists. In order to launch these lines, 5.1 Entertainment has licensed a number of music works for release, including over 240 master tapes of classical recordings from the London Symphony and the London Philharmony Orchestras.

The first releases from this arrangement are expected to be released in March.
